Much better day....
Well today I'm feeling much better. Headache is finally gone and had a quiet day with John.
We went to buy a new smaller radiator for the baby's room and ended up having lunch out and shopping most of the afternoon. It was great.
We bought two mirrors (one of which we got for free as it didn't scan and we didn't realise until we were home) and they look great.
Also my bump is getting bigger by the day! Feeling a bit achey today but I think that's because I've walked around a lot today.

Not feeling well today
I'm not in the best of spirits today. Had to cancel a few lessons yesterday and I've had to do the same today. Got a really bad headache - had paracetamol and tried to go back to sleep but I can't seem to get any relief - my head hurts while its touching the pillow!
Was determined not to cancel any more lessons due to illness after the mess that was morning sickness (before Christmas). It makes me feel really down disappointing my pupils and although they're all wishing me to get better and don't seem to be upset with me you can tell they are fed up. I can't concentrate if I'm not 100% (or at least >75%) and in this job I'd never forgive myself if my lack of concentration allowed us to get into an accident.
Wish I was feeling more energetic and positive but I'm too tired to think....
I'm so excited about the baby and wish it was June already!

22 Weeks
Well a lot has happened in the last few weeks since I last posted.
Nothing serious or scary but lots of nice baby related events/milestones.
Probably the most important was the 20 week scan. Everything was perfect. Baby behaved and laid very still for the trainee sonographer to measure the inflow and outflow of the heart. Me and John sat mesmerised watching the 4 chambers and the valves moving around. It was brilliant. She kept apologising for taking so long but I was happy to sit and watch my baby all day long if I could. We saw the brain and the "figure of 8" cerebellum and it was the correct shape and size so reduced risk of Spina bifida and Down's. I didn't have the tests for those as it probably wouldn't have altered our position but it was a great relief to know everything looks good.
All measurements were normal and within the averages so that's good.
We didn't want to know the sex so they didn't really go looking round there! he he
One of the most mermorable parts of the scan was when they were looking at the brain and as they moved the probe thing down the crossection of the head we saw his/her ears! John was amazed by that! We got a good look at the front of the face and checked for cleft pallet and everything looked great.
Here are some photos of the scan - bit upset she gave us copies of the same image but hey never mind.
I especially like this one as you can see the true profile of the nose. Although my mum was worried about the distinct lack of body (baby's body is off to it's right and we can see the cord on his/her shoulder)
